VGM Insurance is giving awards of $1000 throughout the year to companies that provide the most compelling nominations of a local charity, as a way of thanking HME providers and affiliated insurance agents for the good they do for their communities. View the video below to see the smiling faces of those who will benefit from the $1,000 contributions this month. The South Jersey Field of Dreams, an organization nominated by Michael Thomas of Glenn Insurance, is a baseball program that allows physically and mentally disabled children and adults to play and participate in the Great American Pastime. Over 300 children participate in the Field of Dreams summer baseball league, drawing players from over 50 miles away. The $1,000 donation will be used toward updating uniforms and equipment for this program, along with food purchases for the snack bar, which is free to everyone who attends the games. Michael Thomas is a VGM Insurance Affiliated Agent, and for over 10 years his office has volunteered on a Friday night to assist the players on the field and run the snack bar. He told us it is a life-changing experience for everyone involved. Congratulations, Michael! Club Blue was nominated by Mark Hatch of Integrated HomeCare Service, a VGM Member and VGM Insurance Customer. Club Blue provides basic goods and services that promote the safety, health and well-being of children in need in the Rockford, Ill., community. Starting this year, Club Blue formed a foundation in order to support more organizations that provide services for children in the area. These include organizations that provide housing for children displaced due to domestic violence, provide child counseling services, and outreach to at-risk youth. Club Blue will be using the $1,000 donation to help support the recipients of this year's grants. Congratulations Mark!
