Many people have asked me lately what will be new or different at Heartland this year. U.S. Rehab is updating our Tech Training program again! Last year, we made our Tech Training program more advanced than ever before. However, we still heard of the need for a beginner-level, in-person Tech Training seminar.

You asked, we answered! This year, we will feature beginner- and advanced-level tracks for Tech Training at Heartland Conference. Technical trainers from Invacare, Motion Concepts, Sunrise Medical and Permobil will present on product specifics and programming for both levels. The courses in each track are listed below.

Beginner Track:

  • Electronics and battery basics, motors and controllers
  • Programing for the new tech
  • Product specific repair and adjustments
  • Industry trends

Advanced Track:

  • Programing for the advanced tech
  • Product specific repair and adjustments
  • Industry trends
  • Introduction to seating and positioning for techs

Why should your tech attend Tech Training? Our Tech Training seminar is one of the only opportunities for your tech to gain the technical knowledge from four different manufacturers all in one location. Problem areas will be openly and frankly discussed. Industry experts will teach hands-on about battery basics, motors and controllers. Techs in the advanced level will learn about seating and positioning and how it applies to rehab techs.

Less time will be spent lecturing. More time will be spent repairing common issues and programming specific functions. Class size is limited to allow for more hands-on training.

Registration is open for both tracks at Heartland. Click here to register.

Beginner- and advanced-level tracks will also be available at our upcoming trainings in August 9-11 in Seattle and October 11-13 in Greensboro, N.C. Continue to check for more information.
