About the DMERT Certification Levels

The DMERT levels were created with the intention of techs earning the DMERT Level 1 certificate, DMERT Level 2 certificate and DMERT Level 3 certificate. If technicians are participating in the DMERT certification program, they must first pass the DMERT Level 1 online theory exam and competency exam before taking DMERT Level 2 courses.

About the DMERT Group

The DMERT Group was launched in May 2018 with the goal of training repair technicians more efficiently while advancing the entire profession.

“This training and certification show that not just anyone can repair specialized medical equipment,” said Greg Packer, President of U.S. Rehab and secretary of the DMERT Group’s executive oversight board. “Only qualified, certified technicians should be working on these devices, and that is what the DMERT Group hopes to accomplish.”
