Heartland Will Show You How to Bid Smart in Round 2021

Posted on in Education and Events

The bidding window for Round 2021 of the Competitive Bidding Program is set to open July 16, 2019, which means now is the time to prepare. VGM has been hard at work organizing education opportunities to help members bid smart, and we’re bringing that education to Heartland 2019 June 10-12 in Waterloo, Iowa. It all starts with the pre-conference session, Interpreting & Preparing for Competitive Bidding Round 2021.

Competitive Bidding Education

Interpreting & Preparing for Competitive Bidding Round 2021 is a four-hour session on Monday, June 10 presented by Mark Higley, VGM vice president of Regulatory Affairs, and other VGM and industry experts.

They’ll discuss important changes such as lead item pricing, clearing price, bid bonds, and much more, and discuss how it may impact the industry now and in the future. Additionally, the experts will walk attendees through the bid calculator that has been specifically designed for Round 2021 bidding. And, there will be plenty of time allotted to ask questions to make sure you are ready for the new bidding program.

Heartland 2019 Is Now Open to All HME Providers

Of course, Round 2021 doesn’t just affect VGM members – it impacts the entire industry. That’s why this year Heartland is open to all HME providers. This marks the first time in Heartland’s 18-year history that non-members have been invited to the conference.

More Than Education

Along with competitive bidding-specific education, Heartland offers 10 tracks of education and more than 80 sessions, including 11 panel discussions, all related to the HME industry in areas such as retail, rehab, marketing, respiratory, accessibility, compliance, and leadership, among others.

But, education at Heartland is more than its various sessions – it’s what we can learn by coming together as a community. Heartland is a time to network with peers in the industry and discuss solutions that impact the entire industry.

“VGM believes in supporting the dedicated stakeholders serving the HME industry,” said Clint Geffert, president of VGM & Associates. “Due to the changes in competitive bidding, VGM will carry the torch to support all HME providers whether they’re part of our membership community or not, because it’s best for patients, providers, and the industry as a whole.”
