Retail, Big Ideas, Accessibility Products and Tech Training – See What’s New at Heartland!

This year, Heartland Conference will celebrate 15 years of providing high-quality education and networking opportunities to VGM members. In honor of our anniversary, we have included many new additions to the show so you can cultivate more relationships, connect to more deals and promotions from vendors, and walk away with great memories and new ideas for your business.

Retail Summit – Monday, June 13 l 9 a.m. - Noon

Retail experts Rob Baumhover and Jim Greatorex, along with some of VGM Retail’s new vendor partners, will be packing the morning with practical tips, techniques and strategies for how to grow your business with retail. Session topics include retail metrics, customer service training strategies, merchandising tips and innovative new products that will boost store traffic!

Big Ideas Track

The conference’s new Big Ideas track goes beyond CEUs and will feature sessions based solely on forming new connections and ideas. The unique sessions will offer attendees a fun, “out-of-the-box” framework to expand their perspectives and draft creative solutions to problems they may be encountering in their business.

Accessibility Product Training Track

AHIA is hosting a comprehensive technical training track. This track and education you and enhance your knowledge and skill level on the installation and repair techniques of accessibility products. The purpose of this track is to allow you the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to perform in an efficient and timely manner. Several industry vendors will be presenting, including EZ-ACCESS, Harmar and Best Bath Systems. This track is perfect for the provider looking to diversity their business and get intro accessibility product installation.

Two Levels of U.S. Rehab Tech Training

For the first time ever, U.S. Rehab will be offering two levels of its Technical Training: beginner and advanced. Tech Training is a three-day seminar on power wheelchair repair. Technical trainers from Invacare, Motion Concepts, Permobil and Sunrise Medical will present product specifics, basic repair strategies, troubleshooting and programming. To register, click here.

Map Your Show

The Map Your Show technology, which will be added to the VGM Heartland Conference mobile app, will provide Heartland attendees the opportunity to view vendor promotional videos, show specials and prize giveaways in advance and during the show. The tool will also include a map of downtown Waterloo, where attendees can roam by foot to discover local eateries and pubs.

Rifton Tricycle Giveaway

U.S. Rehab is partnering with Variety - the Children’s Charity, Rifton and JVA Mobility (U.S. Rehab member) to provide Rifton Adaptive Tricycles to two children based in the Waterloo, Iowa, area. The trikes will be presented to the children and their families during the Exhibit Hall Grand Opening.
