U.S. Rehab is taking its newly designed beginner and advanced-level Tech Training program on the road to Sacramento, California, August 9-11. The program will be held at the Holiday Inn Sacramento-Capital Plaza, a change from Seattle, Washington and the only Tech Training to be held on the west coast this year.

New Tech Training Program Finds Success at VGM Heartland

The two-track program had a highly successful debut at VGM’s Heartland Conference in June, with nearly 15 techs attending each level. Attendees expressed their appreciation for the separation of the levels, mentioning that the new format gave beginners the opportunity to ask basic questions without hesitation and allowed advanced-level attendees to dig deeper into programming and troubleshooting techniques.

Technical trainers from Invacare, Motion Concepts, Sunrise Medical and Permobil will present on product specifics and programming for both levels. Track topics include:

Beginner Track:

  • Electronics and battery basics, motors and controllers
  • Programing for the new tech
  • Product-specific repair and adjustments

Advanced Track:

  • Programing for the advanced tech
  • Product-specific repair and adjustments
  • Introduction to seating and positioning for techs

Why should your tech attend U.S Rehab’s Tech Training?

  • Unique opportunity to connect with top manufacturers in one location.

Not many opportunities exist for techs to gain repair knowledge from four manufacturers in one location. Tech Training provides that opportunity.

  • Hands-on training.

Less time will be spent lecturing, and more time will be spent openly discussing problems, repairing common issues and programming specific functions. Techs in the advanced-level will learn about seating and positioning and how it applies to rehab techs. Beginner techs will have the opportunity to take apart and put together a power wheelchair.

  • Discounts for your business.

If you send a tech to the seminar, you will be able to take advantage of discounts on select rehab parts. Discounts include:

    • MK Battery: Additional 5%
    • Motion Concepts: Additional secondary discount of 5% if paid within terms*
    • Invacare: Additional 6% on rehab parts, not to exceed 23%
    • Permobil: Additional 6% on parts, not to exceed 16%*
