Mission Possible Learning Objectives

Mobility (including complex rehab)

  • Review common ADMC and other audit denials for K0004, E1161, K0005, and K0823-K0861
  • Discuss acceptable ATP assessment documentation (“I was involved in the selection of the product” is NOT sufficient and claims are being denied and recouped for this reason)
  • Discuss proper coding for power base and accessories and ensure you are selecting the right base code per coverage criteria
  • Examine the modifier finder and ensure you select the correct modifier(s) for the code
  • Review justification for tilt and recline combo
  • Maximize reimbursement for electronics
  • Review repairs
  • Participate in live mobility claim reviews

Respiratory

  • Review recent audits on oxygen equipment, CPAPs, nebulizers and ventilators
  • Discuss ways to overcome these audits by being proactive
  • Discuss any issues the attendees may be dealing with and finding ways to work through it
  • Participate in live respiratory claim reviews
