With the annual Heartland Conference just around the corner, I am filled with anticipation to welcome you to a week that promises to be a cornerstone for our industry. The conference, held in VGM’s hometown of Waterloo, Iowa, is a testament to our commitment to excellence and innovation in home medical equipment services and the post-acute homecare space.

This year’s conference is particularly momentous as we introduce a session that is close to my heart: “New Leaders and New Horizons: Preparing for the Future of Post-Acute Homecare.” In this inaugural session, we will delve into the evolving landscape of the post-acute homecare industry—a realm that continues to grow in importance and complexity. I am honored to participate and share insights alongside our esteemed new leadership team. We will share a bit personally, as well as discuss the future that lies ahead, the challenges we anticipate, and the readiness we must adopt to thrive in an ever-changing environment.

This session is not just a discussion; it is a call to action for all of us to embrace the new horizons that await. It is an opportunity to meet the minds that will guide us and to contribute your voice to the collective vision that will propel us forward.

This year, I am also particularly excited to announce my participation in a panel that embodies the spirit of leadership and empowerment: “[Panel] Empowered Leadership: Women Driving Excellence in HME.” This track, focusing on Leadership & People Strategy, will be presented by Arienne Martinez, Director of Organizational Development at VGM HOMELINK.

Join us for an engaging dialogue with some of the most influential female leaders in our field, including the 2023 HME Woman of the Year and VGM’s top female executives. We will delve into topics that resonate with us all, from achieving work-life balance to projecting confidence in the boardroom. It is an honor to share the stage with:

  • Barb Anderson, Chief Financial Officer, VGM Group, Inc.
  • Christa Miehe, President of Corporate Communications & Events, VGM Group, Inc.
  • Dana McLaughlin, President, Medical Service Company
  • Sara Laures, Chief People Officer, VGM Group, Inc.

Heartland Conference has always been a top-notch industry show, and this year, we are raising the bar even higher with a week of learning, networking, and inspiration. Together, we will chart a course towards a future where our industry does not just adapt but leads the way in providing exceptional care. Heartland Conference is more than just an event; it is a convergence of ideas, experiences, and visions for the future. I encourage you to take part in these transformative discussions that will shape the trajectory of our industry.

Check out all of the great sessions here!

I eagerly await the opportunity to welcome you in person and to embark on this journey together at Heartland Conference 2024.

Lindy
