Lindy Tentinger explains VGM is evolving with purpose by investing in advocacy, technology, and services to support HME providers through industry change and ensure long-term viability.By Lindy Tentinger, President, VGM & Associates

If there was one message that came through clearly at Medtrade, it was this: our industry is changing more quickly than ever before. Right before our eyes.

There is more technology.

Different models.

More private equity investment.

More complexity.

More regulatory uncertainty.

More consolidation.

And more pressure on providers to adapt while continuing to care for patients and protect their businesses.

We heard your questions. We felt your uncertainty. And we were reminded once again just how important it is to have trusted partners walking alongside you, and ahead of you.

Which brings me to something I want to say clearly and directly.

Yes, VGM is changing.

We are evolving.

And we are doing it intentionally, boldly, and with you at the center of every decision.

Change is hard. We know you feel it too. It is like we are all flying the plane while building a new plane. You are navigating reimbursement pressure, staffing challenges, new technology decisions, regulatory uncertainty, and constant demands on your time. Change can feel uncomfortable, disruptive, and even exhausting. But in the landscape we are living in today, and the one we know is coming tomorrow, standing still is not an option. Evolution is necessary to remain strong, relevant, and positioned for the future, and we believe it is far better to move forward thoughtfully and intentionally than to be forced to react later.

Everything we do centers around you. Just like you and your businesses, we are not standing still. We are evolving to better serve you and to be where the puck is going to be, not where it is today. That means rethinking how we show up in the market, how we align internally, and how we deliver value in everything we do.

We are investing millions back into this industry to fight for your future, your business, and your patients. Patients who are not just numbers or statistics, but our parents, our children, our neighbors, and our loved ones.

To do that well, we must show up as one VGM in this industry. We must build solutions that recognize membership is not one size fits all. We must be a strong and consistent voice for providers. And we must optimize how we operate so we can bring more expertise in-house, create more meaningful contact with you, and deliver service that truly moves the needle for your business.

That is what this season of change is about.

And while we are evolving quickly, what is not changing matters just as much.

Our values remain the same.

Our vision remains the same: We will disrupt traditional paradigms, influencing and actively shaping our industry to raise awareness of its impact, creating long-term viability for the future of our members, vendor partners, and each other.

Our commitment to relationships remains the same.

Our time spent listening to and learning from our members remains the same.

The heart of VGM is only beating stronger.

In fact, we are doubling down.

We are doubling down on service.

On outreach.

On education and opportunities for you to come together.

On advocacy for providers and for this industry.

We are simply doing it with extreme intentionality so that everything we offer delivers real value and real outcomes for your business, your team, and your patients.

This is us, sleeves rolled up, in it with you, disrupting traditional paradigms, for your long-term viability.

At Medtrade, many of you asked how we are seeing the industry and what comes next. Our role is not to add to the noise. Our role is to help you make sense of it. To guide you through change with expertise, perspective, and resources that meet you where you are today and help you prepare for tomorrow.

You have access to a membership that can truly transform your business if you and your team use it. Our responsibility is to help you understand what is available, how it applies to your unique situation, and how to maximize the value of being part of this community.

We invest back into this industry always. We always have. And we always will.

Sometimes that work happens behind the scenes. But I promise you this: you will always find VGM there. We will always show up. We will always help.

As we move forward together, know that our evolution is not about stepping away from who we are. It is about stepping more fully into it, with clarity, focus, and purpose.

Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for being part of this community. And thank you for allowing us to walk alongside you as we continue to build what comes next. I truly welcome your feedback on how we can serve you, our members, even better.
