U.S. Rehab Offers Live Tech Training and New ATP Training in 2025

U.S. Rehab is excited to continue hosting in-person live Tech Training sessions in 2025. In addition, an option for ATP Gateway Training will be offered for experienced technicians interested in becoming certified ATPs.

Live Tech Training

Live Tech Training provides wheelchair repair technicians with education and hands-on experience with both manual and power wheelchairs. These sessions are led by technical trainers from key vendor partners.

Confirmed dates and locations for 2025 include:

Tech Training sessions for U.S. Rehab and VGM members offer both basic and advanced tracks on various CRT equipment repair strategies, troubleshooting, and programming. Attendees will enhance their skills on specific CRT products and learn how to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer service. This leads to faster repairs, fewer field visits, lower costs, and higher productivity. The benefits also include minimized errors, reducing patient downtime, and increasing satisfaction levels among referral sources and patients. Additionally, sessions cover proper repair documentation for maximum insurance reimbursement.

These sessions enhance skills in adaptive seating, mobility seating, power chair assessment, wheelchair seating services, and mobility evaluation. Well-trained technicians can improve service delivery, positively impact assistive technology, and contribute to better patient outcomes.

Led by expert instructors and certified ATPs, this training is designed to cover essential knowledge topics, including AT devices and the provision of AT services. It includes real-world scenarios and case studies, helping technicians apply practical skills directly. These focused areas of study can help technicians prepare for the RESNA ATP certification exam and learn about available resources for exam preparation.

For technicians interested in becoming ATPs, staying the extra day after the Live Tech Training sessions is a convenient way to gain exposure to essential topics and ATP exam preparation through hands-on training and engagement with certified CRT experts.

U.S. Rehab is excited to offer training opportunities for wheelchair repair technicians and aspiring ATPs to advance their career and make a difference in CRT.
