Lindy Tentinger, President of VGM & Associates, explains how VGM & Associates is prioritizing your needs in 2026.By Lindy Tentinger, President, VGM & Associates

A February message to our members and vendor partners:

Thank you to everyone who responded to our January question of the month, a new initiative to hear directly from our members by sending out one question via email and asking for your input, from payer changes that would impact success to what you are doing to future-proof your business. Your input helps us aim our work where it matters most for your teams and your patients.

Our January question asked about your priorities this year. Here is what you told us are your top priorities for 2026, followed by how VGM will support you and where we invite our vendor partners to lean in with us.

What you told us, top five, in order:

  1. Payer and reimbursement challenges
  2. Revenue and financial performance
  3. Operational efficiency
  4. Business growth and market expansion
  5. Technology and digital transformation

How VGM Will Support You in 2026

Payer and reimbursement

You asked for help with contracts, payment policies, and payer escalation. We are increasing our payer relations work, expanding contract education, and creating simpler resources to help your teams quickly interpret and act on policy changes. We will continue to elevate issues that create administrative burden and threaten access to care.

Revenue and financial performance

You want stronger cash flow, cleaner claims, and better visibility into A/R and denials. We are delivering targeted education, peer benchmarks, and practical playbooks to shorten days in A/R, reduce rework, and improve first-pass payment.

Operational efficiency

You asked for workflow optimization and fewer handoffs. We are helping teams map the patient journey, remove bottlenecks, and improve throughput. Expect more templates, checklists, and short trainings that leaders can plug in immediately. Our goal is simple: less friction for your teams and for your patients.

Business growth and market expansion

You want sensible growth that strengthens core service lines. We are providing market insights, playbooks, and marketing opportunities that help you win where you are strong and expand where the community needs you most.

Technology and digital transformation

You asked for practical guidance on e-prescribing, documentation, prior authorization, and data. We are curating vendor solutions that reduce administrative burden, and we will bring you case studies that show outcomes rather than promises. Expect clear side-by-side comparisons and implementation guidance that respects the realities of HME operations.

How to Engage This Quarter

Your work is local and deeply personal. Our job is to listen, remove barriers, and advocate for what helps you serve patients well. Thank you for trusting VGM. We are honored to walk with you in 2026.

Keep a lookout for the February question of the month in your inbox, which will ask, “When you think about your membership, which benefits or services provide the most value to you?”

We look forward to hearing from you.

With appreciation,

Lindy Tentinger
President, VGM and Associates
