11:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.

Fuel up on lunch and information crucial to making your business survive and thrive. Fill your plate with a quick lunch, and head to your pre-selected table where the moderator will kick off your roundtable group discussion. Learn from experts, hear from your peers, and take back solutions to your office. Seats fill up quickly, so register early! Advance registration required. See pricing

There will be a table for each of the following topics. You must select one of the following tables to attend when registering. However, this year you will have the option to join a different table halfway through the hour!:

  • Reimbursement Hot Topics: Ronda Buhrmester, Senior Director of Payer Relations, VGM & Associates
    • The hot topics in the billing/reimbursement area are oxygen and CPAP. Discussion will include oxygen testing from hospital discharge and in chronic stable state. Also, review on handling those sleep studies that are scored with hypopnea at 3% instead of 4%, as per Medicare FFS guidelines. There will also be discussion on the new Standard Written Order (SWO) requirements. Bring any of your billing and reimbursement questions or issues to this table for discussion with your peers!
  • 2021 CBA or NOT – You Still must SELL and have a Strategy for 2020 and Beyond: Ty Bello, President, [email protected] Consulting
    • If you are in a CBA, then you have already submitted your bid and await to see if you have been awarded it or not. If you are not in a CBA, then you too are trying to grow your business. How much time are you putting into your Sales Plan whether you are in or out of a CBA, and what about Strategic Planning for 2020 and beyond? If you have never developed a Strategic Plan or have done so in the past and are unhappy with the results, this session will provide you the tools needed to begin the process and navigate your way to the Business Optimization Path to Success.
  • E-Commerce: Is it the right fit for my business? Christina Throndson, Vice President, Forbin
    • During this lunch we'll discuss "selling online". What options are available, how each model can be applied to your business and the necessary efforts for success.  Regardless of your eCommerce involvement, knowledge or experience, you'll be sure to leave with great ideas and a certainty of which online approach is best for your business.
  • What Makes a Successful Respiratory Program? Dave Lyman, VP of Sales, VGM & Associates
    • In order to be profitable, providers need to have programs that not only create value but show that value. As health care continues to change from a fee-for-service model to pay-for- performance, respiratory providers must show their value to payers, health systems, and health care professionals. This can be a difficult task, but it can be done.
  • Getting Strategic about Patient Engagement: Lindy Tentinger, Senior Vice President, Marketing, VGM & Associates and Miriam Lieber, President, Lieber Consulting LLC
    • With the promise of value-based care from the hospital setting to HME providers and other health care practices, it is certain that tracking and reporting patient outcomes and satisfaction will become the norm. We will talk about how to embrace technology and data to better engage patients while at the same time increasing business value, and give you a chance to learn what your peers are doing.
  • Round 2021 Predictions and Commentary: “Cautiously Optimistic": Mark Higley, Vice President Regulatory Affairs, VGM & Associates and Wayne van Halem, President, The van Halem Group, an affiliate of VGM & Associates
    • Now that the competitive bidding window is closed, what’s next? The experts are here to listen to your bidding experience, as well as answer burning questions about what is to come whether you are in a competitive bidding area or not.

More importantly, we hope you did too. To highlight all the fun, our very own Mike Thuesen of our video production team, created a video of our favorite elements from Medtrade 2019. We invite you to relive all the excitement with us.
