CAMPS Members Advocate For DME Industry At The Capitol

Published in Government Relations on March 25, 2025

On a pivotal day at the California State Capitol, members of the California Association of Medical Product Suppliers (CAMPS) gathered to advocate for the durable medical equipment (DME) industry. The delegation, led by CAMPS President Paul Ondrusek, engaged in a series of high-impact meetings with Assembly members and Senators.

Ondrusek highlighted the importance of these discussions, stating, “Although there's still work to be done, we had a number of high-quality visits with Assembly members and Senators, allowing us to effectively convey the critical need for reimbursement relief in the DME industry with Med-Cal. We are committed to growing and nurturing the relationships established during this lobbying trip, and we will continue fighting for the future of our industry."

The CAMPS members emphasized the urgent need for reimbursement relief to ensure the sustainability of the DME sector, which plays a crucial role in providing essential medical products to patients across California. The meetings were seen as a significant step towards fostering stronger relationships with policymakers and advocating for the necessary changes to support the industry.

As the day concluded, CAMPS members left the Capitol with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. The association remains steadfast in its mission to advocate for the DME industry and looks forward to continued collaboration with state legislators to achieve their goals.
