On September 7, 2022, VGM hosted Congresswoman Ashley Hinson at our main campus. This was her second time visiting VGM in the past few years. Her first visit was right before the pandemic, so she was able to see the differences in the corporate environment during her second visit. Rep. Hinson is originally from the Cedar Valley which is why it is great having her here because she is a great supporter and understands the small town, rural mentality and why it is so important to support grassroots because politics begin at home!

Hinson Speaking

During Rep. Hinson’s visit, John Gallagher, VP, Government Relations, along with other key leaders at VGM explained how VGM is a big part of the DMEPOS industry and what our main goals are to accomplish in the industry. They also spoke on many of the problems that currently face the industry. Our main ask of her while she was on site was to cosponsor to some legislation that is currently being worked on, an extension to the CARES Act and H.R. 6641.

Hinson Group

After the presentation, Rep. Hinson spoke on what she is working on currently in Washington D.C., and some of the bills that she has signed on to. Thank you, Representative Hinson, for visiting and being an advocate for the DME industry.
