Webinar: Shoe And Insert Selection For Diabetic Shoe Program

Event Details

Overview:

The Shoe Program is a balancing act between getting the patient to choose a shoe that they may wear every day and something that is therapeutically correct for their foot size, shape, and condition. For inserts, there are pre-fab heat-moldable (5512) and custom inserts (5513,5514). How do you choose between the two different choices for each patient, and are there times that an L5000 is not necessary?

Learning objectives:

Participants will be able to choose an appropriate shoe for the patient as well as have a conversation with the patient as to why this shoe is best. Participants will also be able to choose the correct inserts with accommodations if necessary.

You don’t want to miss this one. OPGA members register today!

*This program has been approved for 1.5 Scientific (S) Category 1 PCEs by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC). Credits will be granted by discipline.
