Many discussions have occurred since the release of the Standard Written Order (SWO) requirements on January 2, 2020. There is now one type of order called the Standard Written Order, which means all other types of orders have been eliminated (5EO, 7EO, DWO, DWO, dispensing) for all DMEPOS for dates of service Jan. 1, 2020.
Along with the SWO changes, CMS has also combined the HCPCS codes from the ACA 6407 list and Prior Authorization lists to one big list titled the “Master List” of which contains 412 HCPCS codes.
