What Is EleCare?

EleCare is an amino acid-based, hypoallergenic, nutritionally complete formula. When used as the primary source of nutrition, it supports growth and improves symptoms of infants and children.

  • ELECARE® is nutritionally complete, hypoallergenic, amino acid-based formula for infants with food allergies or gastrointestinal disorders.
  • ELECARE JR for patients ages 1 year and older transitioning from an amino acid infant formula.

ELECARE®â€¯Can Be Used For Dietary Management of these Conditions:

  • For Food Allergies

Your child is not alone. In fact, it’s estimated that 4 out of every 100 children in the U.S. have food allergies.1

  • Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Disorders (EGIDs)

(EGIDs) are chronic digestive system disorders in which certain food proteins trigger an overproduction of eosinophils (white blood cells that help fight certain infections) in different areas of the digestive tract.

  • Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS)

Short bowel syndrome describes a group of problems affecting individuals who have lost the use of a major part of their small intestine.

  • Malabsorption and Other Conditions

Nutritionally complete, amino acid-based EleCare and EleCare Jr are helpful in the dietary management of a number of GI conditions that cause malabsorption issues.

  • Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES)

FPIES is an immune reaction in the gastrointestinal system to one or more specific foods. It’s commonly characterized by profuse vomiting and diarrhea.

The Abbott Quality Care Process

Ensuring the quality of our products is critically important. We are committed to delivering products with the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance.

  • Step 1: Science-Based Nutrition

Before our products are made, our formulas are developed by scientists.

  • Step 2: Ingredients

All ingredients and packaging must pass quality checks before they can be used in our formulas.

  • Step 3: Production

Scientists test formula samples at multiple stages during production. We use technology and trained professionals to continuously monitor the making of our formulas.

  • Step 4: Packaging

Once our product is in the package, we test the seal to be sure the product is protected. We test all finished formula prior to shipping. Every batch of powder formula must test negative for common, harmful bacteria.

Mixing

EleCare mixes like most standard infant formulas: One level scoop to 2 fl oz of water provides 20 cal/fl oz.
