Spring kicked off with a dynamic four-week road trip, rich with connection and collaboration. The time spent with Live at Home members and vendor partners was not just productive — it was heartfelt and meaningful beyond words. This director road show wasn’t merely a series of visits; it was a chance for me to strengthen existing relationships, cultivate new ones, and build valuable partnerships. Engaging with thought leaders allowed for honest, transparent discussions, fostering trust while spotlighting our ongoing efforts, industry trends, and the year’s key initiatives for Live at Home.
Supporting our members in growing their businesses requires more than surface-level interaction — it demands a deep dive into their challenges, opportunities, and strategic priorities. By prioritizing meaningful engagement and truly understanding members’ business goals, my time on the road became invaluable in strengthening trust, fueling growth, and driving collective success.
Key Takeaways to Understanding Members’ Initiatives for Growth
Identify Key Business Goals: Understand what growth means to members, such as expanding customer bases, increasing revenue, or launching new services.
Recognize Industry Trends: Discuss market shifts, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies that can impact growth.
Listen to Pain Points: Gather feedback on obstacles members face, such as government and policy-related issues, funding limitations, or market challenges.
Encourage Collaboration: Help facilitate partnerships between members and vendor partners, offering solutions that drive mutual success.
Provide Resources and Support: Share best practices, industry and healthcare trends, and diversified funding and investment opportunities.
Later this year, Live at Home will enhance its support for members and vendor partners by fully integrating our VGM Sales Team, including our Regional Account Managers (RAMs). This integration will foster greater collaboration, provide additional resources, and ensure our network has increased access to the expertise and personalized guidance needed to drive success.

Kicking off OT Month was a success!
We teamed up with Harmar at the 2025 AOTA Inspire Conference. Alongside Harmar partners Alison Starkey, PT, and John and Robyn Papai, we connected with industry professionals and emerging students, sharing insights on the benefits of aging in place and showcasing home access products designed to support independence at home. We are thrilled to continue to strengthen our partnership with Harmar and cannot wait for the next event together!

April’s Live at Home Field Tech Training
VGM Live at Home’s own Drew Aalderks, Member Account Manager, had the opportunity to participate in our April Field Tech Training Week, held at Access to Independence in Ravenna, Ohio. This immersive installer training event brought together industry professionals for hands-on learning, skill development, and collaboration, ensuring that field technicians stay at the forefront of accessibility solutions.
The week featured top manufacturers such as EZ-ACCESS, Best Bath, Harmar, Human Care, Autoslide, and Serenity, each offering valuable insights into their latest products and innovations. Attendees gained practical knowledge through live demonstrations, hands-on installation training, and expert guidance, helping them deliver best-in-class service to clients.
“Attending the April Field Tech Training Week was a total game-changer for me. It was my first time getting hands-on with home modification products, and I left feeling confident that I could install everything we covered. The training was super engaging and informative, even for someone with no prior hands-on experience. Plus, the Access to Independence classroom format and showrooms are amazing, the perfect spot for learning and collaboration. If you're new to the home modification world or looking to add new vendors to your product lineup, this event is a must-attend! You can get certified in almost everything home accessibility in one place and in just one week,” stated Drew.
If you missed this one, don’t worry — our next Field Tech Training event is coming up (September 22-26, 2025)! Make sure to mark your calendar and take advantage of this invaluable opportunity to enhance your expertise and connect with industry leaders.
