Heartland Conference Goes Virtual: New Format, Same Great Education

Published in Home Modifications on May 14, 2020

Due to the risks of COVID-19, VGM Heartland Conference 2020 is going to be a little different this year—we're going virtual. But that's not the only big change.

The online conference, Heartland At Home, is a member-exclusive benefit, so U.S. Rehab members can attend and earn CEUs/contact hours at absolutely no cost.

"Connection and education are staples of the Heartland Conference," stated Greg Packer, president of U.S. Rehab. "Although we need to shift Heartland online, I can say with confidence that everyone at VGM is committed to making Heartland At Home an incredibly special experience with content tailored to help our members."

Slated for June 15 through July 10, Heartland At Home will feature five tracks dedicated to rehab, billing and reimbursement, accessibility, business operations and leadership and respiratory. One day during each of the four weeks will feature a session from the five tracks. The conference will also feature Heartland Hangouts—virtual roundtables dedicated to each track for attendees to openly share best practices, struggles and wins.

"Heartland At Home allows VGM’s membership communities to get the same great education they know from attending previous Heartland Conferences, except this year it’ll be in the safety, comfort and convenience of their own setting," said Sarah Conger, VGM’s vice president of events and corporate projects and Heartland Conference chairperson. "We’re looking forward to leveraging this new and exciting format and bringing the education to our members’ front doors."

Registration is open and available at no cost to U.S. Rehab members. Stay up to date on all Heartland At Home developments by following VGM Heartland Conference on Facebook and vgmheartland.com. Questions can be directed to 877-484-6901.
