Empowering Lives Through Mobility: A Tribute to Our Providers

Mobility Awareness Month: May 2025

May is Mobility Awareness Month, a time dedicated to recognizing the importance of mobility solutions, the professionals who provide them, and the individuals who rely on these solutions to maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.

The Heart of Mobility Solutions

We are thankful to all members of the VGM community, including U.S. Rehab, OPGA, and Live at Home, for the essential roles they play in the home medical equipment (HME), complex rehab technology (CRT), orthotics and prosthetics (O&P), and home accessibility industries. Their commitment to ensuring that individuals with mobility impairments receive the support and equipment they need to lead fulfilling lives is unwavering, from offering personalized care and expertise to advocating and supporting those with mobility needs.

Mobility Awareness Month is an opportunity to highlight the invaluable contributions of providers in these fields, whether it’s by sharing success stories of lives they’ve impacted or by promoting awareness and participating in advocacy efforts that improve access to mobility solutions.

One of many examples of this dedication is a recent story from VGM Live at Home, VGM & Associate’s home accessibility division, about vendor partner HoverTech International (Molift / Etac) donating a Molift Air ceiling track system to Chris Crosby, ensuring greater accessibility and comfort in his daily life. This story is just one example of how those in the industry are committed to helping those with mobility needs find the solutions that allow them to maintain their independence.

This month is a time to reflect on the dedication and expertise of all who provide mobility solutions and equipment, especially in the HME, CRT, O&P, and home accessibility spaces. We thank all who serve these communities to empower those with mobility needs to live independently and with dignity.
