VGM Names Matt Filippis Director of Business Development, Clinical Mobility & Accessibility

VGM & Associates has announced the appointment of Matt Filippis as Director of Business Development, Clinical Mobility and Accessibility, strengthening its commitment to supporting providers across complex rehab technology (CRT), home accessibility, and orthotics and prosthetics.

In this leadership role, Filippis will execute business development strategies designed to drive growth and profitability across VGM’s clinical mobility and accessibility membership channels, including U.S. Rehab, VGM Live at Home, and OPGA. His focus will center on expanding provider engagement, strengthening vendor partnerships, and identifying new business opportunities that support long-term member success.

Supporting Growth Across Clinical Mobility and Accessibility

As the Director of Business Development for Clinical Mobility and Accessibility, Filippis will work closely with providers, manufacturer partners, and internal VGM teams to:

  • Identify and pursue new business development opportunities
  • Manage and grow key member and vendor relationships
  • Support growth initiatives across complex rehab, home accessibility, and orthotics and prosthetics
  • Strengthen collaboration across VGM’s clinical mobility and accessibility communities

This role plays a critical part in helping providers navigate an evolving healthcare landscape shaped by aging populations and growing access needs for individuals with disabilities.

Extensive Experience in DMEPOS, Complex Rehab, and Mobility

Filippis brings 25 years of experience in the DMEPOS industry, with deep expertise spanning complex rehab technology, mobility solutions, prosthetics, orthotics, and home accessibility.

His career includes leadership roles with Wright & Filippis, National Seating & Mobility, and AdaptHealth, where he most recently served as Director of Rehab Operations.

This combination of operational leadership and hands-on industry experience positions Filippis to understand both the strategic and day-to-day challenges faced by providers in the clinical mobility and accessibility space.

Driving Value for U.S. Rehab, VGM Live at Home, and OPGA Members

In his new position at VGM & Associates, Filippis will collaborate closely with:

  • U.S. Rehab members serving complex rehab and mobility patients
  • VGM Live at Home members focused on home accessibility and aging-in-place solutions
  • OPGA members delivering orthotic and prosthetic care

His work will emphasize strategic business solutions, account growth, and meaningful engagement that help members better serve patients while building stronger, more sustainable businesses.

“Matt has been a trusted leader in the DMEPOS industry for years as a champion of national advocacy and dedication to improving patient access and outcomes,” said Ted Metcalf, VP of Clinical Mobility & Accessibility at VGM & Associates.

Industry Advocacy and Leadership in Complex Rehab

Beyond his operational experience, Filippis is also a recognized advocate for the complex rehab provider community, where he’s worked to advance policy, access, and outcomes for individuals who rely on complex rehab technology.

His advocacy efforts align closely with VGM’s mission to support providers through education, advocacy, and business solutions across clinical mobility and accessibility markets.

Supporting Long-Term Success

“I’m honored to take on this new role and continue supporting the dedicated providers who make such an impact on the lives of their patients,” Filippis said. “I look forward to supporting providers’ growth, innovation, and long-term success.”

As demand continues to rise for complex rehab services, home accessibility solutions, and orthotics and prosthetics care, Filippis’s leadership will play a key role in helping VGM members adapt, grow, and thrive.
