VGM Live at Home is proud of our network of members. Our membership encompasses a wide range of home modification businesses, from larger operations to smaller, family-owned businesses. No matter the size, our members always make their clients a top priority. 319 Ramps & Accessibility strives to exemplify this value in their business every day.
Mike and Beth Stanek started 319 Ramps & Accessibility four years ago in Jesup, IA. Mike has over 20 years of construction background, and Beth has eight years in the accessibility field and has been a Certified Environmental Access Consultant and Certified Aging in Place Specialist. They both hold certifications in ramping, vertical platform lifts, stair lifts, and vehicle lifts. With Mike’s love of talking with people and problem solving, starting 319 Ramps & Accessibility was a great way to use his skills to help individuals in the community with home accessibility needs.
Today, 319 Ramps & Accessibility continues to operate as a small, family-owned business. In 2022, they hired an employee to help with installations, so they now have the ability to have someone complete an installation at one location while the other begins an evaluation for the next job, expanding their scope and ability to serve more clients.
Many customers discover 319 Ramps & Accessibility through word-of-mouth referral sources. 319 Ramps & Accessibility also have a variety of payor sources, which helps grow their business. However, the biggest source of growth for 319 Ramps & Accessibility is their responsiveness and flexibility. Mike and Beth always keep materials in stock and their trailer prepared for urgent needs that may come up.
Because they are a family-owned business, they can be flexible with their scheduling and occasionally take on a weekend installation. One example of this is when 319 Ramps & Accessibility received an urgent request on a weekend for a stairlift repair in Maquoketa, IA, located about 98 miles away. Together, Mike and Beth decided to make the trip a “family day” and drove down to Maquoketa to fix the stairlift. 319 Ramps & Accessibility is very flexible with their schedule and strives to make their clients a priority. Even though family comes first to Beth and Mike, they ensure that clients are a close second.
VGM Live at Home is grateful to have members like 319 Ramps & Accessibility in our membership community because of their dedication to meeting their clients’ needs by providing them with safe, accessible homes.
“We are thankful for our partnership with VGM,” stated Mike and Beth. “They have helped us to connect with new vendor partners as well as other members. This has helped us to continue to grow and serve others.”
Thank you, 319 Ramps & Accessibility, for being Part of Something Bigger with VGM Live at Home!
