Q. How should I use AI to support marketing efforts?

A. Not to show my age too much, but when I was in college, MySpace was the ONLY social media option. Go ahead and Google that, I’ll wait. In the last 20(ish) years, we have seen marketing and communications go through significant change. Most recently, we have all witnessed how artificial intelligence has evolved from a buzzword to a business-critical engine. In 2025, 88% of marketers use AI tools daily, and the AI marketing industry has surged to $47.32 billion, growing at a projected CAGR of 36.6% through 2028, according to market research.

AI empowers marketers to personalize experiences, optimize campaigns, and make data-driven decisions at scale. And, in its simplest form, it helps get rid of the dreaded blinking cursor of the first draft. ChatGPT and Microsoft Co-Pilot are two of many AI tools where prompts can help you create almost any type of content you’re looking for – social media post ideas, blog ideas, email copy that will engage with certain demographics, and the list goes on. Surfer SEO or Semrush help audit and refine content for top search rankings. Our team uses Semrush, and we recently upgraded our plan to get additional AI functionality, enabling us to work faster and smarter, all while optimizing SEO.

In campaign execution, platforms like Albert.ai can plan ad variations, keyword groupings, use predictive algorithms to optimize ad bidding, audiences, and schedules, saving hours of manual work. AI-generated creatives boost CTR by 47% and reduce CPA by 29%.

AI’s impact is measurable: 65% of companies report improved SEO. These tools don’t replace human creativity—they amplify it, allowing our teams to focus on strategy and innovation.

As AI continues to reshape marketing, our role is to lead its integration, thoughtfully balancing automation with authenticity, and data with empathy. AI is here to stay. As marketers, we cannot shy away from using AI. In fact, to stay relevant, we need to master AI.
