Published in Member Communities on February 02, 2021

“I don’t like the feeling that I am not helping, so if I can do something small to contribute, I am trying to do something!”

Spring Branch Medical SupplyA VGM member since 2014, Faisal 'RJ' Poonawala has contributed significantly to his community during the pandemic. Purchasing flags that are handmade by his Regional Account Manager Bob Rodriguez, he then donates these to first responders in Texas, including the Spring Branch Fire and Spring Branch ISD Police Station.

He has also donated meals weekly to various groups, including COVID-19 first responders and volunteer health centers. At the same time, he is also supporting a local small business that has been impacted by the pandemic.

“The best thing so far has been seeing each person smile, not just through their mask, but really seeing it in their eyes and hearing it in their tone of voice. We all feel the desire to handshake or a hug, but have this unspoken understanding that we know.”

RJ and his wife had their first born, a baby boy, in May 2020.
