2025 O&P Woman of the Year Nominations Now Open

2025 O&P Woman of the Year Nominations Now OpenAward recipient to be announced during AOPA National Assembly.

OPGA has announced that the nomination period for the 2025 O&P Woman of the Year Award is open now through July 11. 

Sponsored by Össur and presented by OPGA, this annual award is open to all women who work in the profession. Nominators are encouraged to provide examples of how the nominee has made significant contributions throughout her career to serve her patients, community, business, and the O&P profession. 

“We are delighted to continue celebrating the exceptional women in the O&P profession with the O&P Woman of the Year Award,” said Nikki Grace, Director of OPGA. “Entering its ninth year, this award not only highlights the significant contributions of women to the O&P profession but also underscores the vital role of the profession and the patients served daily.” 

In 2024, Sheryl Sachs, MSPO, Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) with Dankmeyer, Inc., was selected from a group of outstanding women as the eighth O&P Woman of the Year. 

“Sheryl exemplifies the positive impact one can have on the O&P profession as proven by her dedication to the field throughout her career, and she is so deserving of being named the 2024 O&P Woman of the Year,” continued Grace. “We look forward to honoring another incredible woman in O&P for 2025.” 

Nominations must be submitted by July 11 and can be made online at www.vgm.com/oandpwomanoftheyear. The 2025 O&P Woman of the Year Award winner will be selected by a committee of O&P professionals and announced on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 9:50 a.m. in the Product Preview Theatre during the AOPA National Assembly, taking place in Orlando, FL.
