OPGA is dedicated to actively participating in seminars, conferences, and events to foster connections, networking, and learning alongside fellow O&P professionals. Over the past few weeks, OPGA has been on a whirlwind tour, engaging with professionals from coast to coast.
CAF Triathlon Challenge
Oct. 21-23, 2023, OPGA joined forces with Össur and 2023 grant recipients Kaleigh Neely and Abbey Senczyszyn at the 30th Annual Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) Triathlon Challenge in California. President Adam Miller of OPGA was moved by the profound impact CAF has on its athletes and relished the opportunity to offer support.
To date, CAF has raised an impressive $159M, fulfilling over 44,000 grant requests for individuals with physical disabilities in all 50 states and across 70 countries, spanning 104+ different sports. Learn more about the invaluable work of this organization here.
Rocky Mountain Orthotic & Prosthetic Coalition (RMOPC) Educational Conference
On Friday, Oct. 27, OPGA's Director of Community Development, Denise Doyle, attended the Rocky Mountain Orthotic & Prosthetic Coalition (RMOPC) Educational Conference in Colorado. This event brought together professionals eager to explore the impact of education and advocacy in the O&P profession.
The RMOPC works “towards a more equitable future for both the service providers and the people receiving O&P services,” and OPGA was delighted to engage with individuals committed to advancing the O&P profession. Learn more about the coalition here.
LEAD the Way Conference
OPGA also had the opportunity to sponsor and exhibit at the Lead O&P "LEAD the Way" Conference, put on by OPGA supplier partner, O&P Insight, from Nov. 8-10, 2023 in Las Vegas, NV.
This gathering provided a platform for OPGA members, supplier partners, and stakeholders to connect and collaborate, all while gaining invaluable insights to enhance their O&P facilities. LEAD the Way underscored the significance of O&P practice owners and managers investing in their own growth to achieve sustained success. Learn more about this impactful conference here.
Being a part of OPGA, whether as a member, supplier partner, advocate, or in any other capacity, means that you are part of something bigger. OPGA is incredibly proud to support and participate in these events that align with this mission of being part of something bigger, and we thank everyone involved for making these events possible and striving to improve the O&P profession.
