Tech Training 2024

U.S. Rehab is excited to continue hosting in-person Tech Training sessions in 2024, providing wheelchair repair technicians with the opportunity to receive in-person education and hands-on experience with manual and power wheelchairs from technical trainers representing key vendor partners.

Confirmed dates and locations for 2024 include:

Tailored Learning Experiences with Industry Experts

Available to U.S. Rehab and VGM members, attendees will work through basic repair strategies, troubleshooting, and programming on a variety of CRT equipment. Each Tech Training session offers the option of a basic or an advanced track, accommodating the technician's experience level.

The basic track is best suited for technicians with up to two years of rehab industry experience, providing an essential foundation for new technicians and an overview of seating and positioning, CRT wheelchairs, and power programming introduction. The advanced track is designed for technicians with more than two years of rehab industry experience, offering an extensive, in-depth program for experienced rehab techs with an understanding of basic electronics, programming, seating, and positioning.

Elevating Repair Technicians' Expertise

Beyond honing their skills on specific CRT products, attendees will gain knowledge to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall customer service. A well-trained repair technician equipped with the ability to troubleshoot equipment repairs more accurately translates to faster repair times, reduced field visits, lowered operational expenses, and increased productivity.

Additionally, the benefits extend to minimizing errors, reducing patient downtime, and ultimately leading to higher satisfaction levels among referral sources and patients alike. As an added bonus, these Tech Training sessions include a dedicated section on mastering the art of proper repair documentation, ensuring maximum insurance reimbursement.

“We are proud to continue offering these valuable in-person Tech Trainings to help our members provide the training their technicians need from all the top manufacturers in one place to become as efficient as possible,” said Tyler Mahncke, president of U.S. Rehab. “These one-stop-shop sessions help technicians meet the CMS DMEPOS Quality Standards from each member vendor of the products and services our members provide.”
