One down and three to go!
Coming off a very successful three days last month in Dallas, U.S. Rehab is excited to continue its momentum with three more stops across the country!
Our focus and one of our key drivers to help support our U.S. Rehab Members is to continue to lead the way in Complex Rehab Technology (CRT) training, offering live tech training sessions and a new ATP Gateway training in 2025. These programs provide hands-on experience and certification preparation for wheelchair repair technicians and aspiring Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs).
First let’s discuss our live tech training events that stretch for two full days!
The live tech training is designed to equip rehab industry repair technicians with essential skills for manual and power wheelchair service and repair. Two levels of training, basic and advanced, lend the best experience for each individual participant. Workshops are led by technical trainers from U.S. Rehab’s key vendor partners and cover everything from CRT equipment set-up to troubleshooting and repair, plus programming on both basic and advanced electronics. While the basic track accommodates those just starting in their career up to 2 years, the advanced track goes even deeper into discussions and presentations on adaptive seating and mobility evaluation. A bonus for both levels is a workshop with great Q&A opportunity on proper repair documentation to assist in correct insurance billing for profitable reimbursement.
Servicing what you sell, doing it right the first time, documenting for proper billing and reimbursement, all while exceeding patient satisfaction with faster repairs is what drives these incredible two days of training and knowledge enhancement!
Rounding out the week, we dive into our new ATP Gateway, one day of intense training for those exploring a career as an ATP or preparing to become ATP Certified! The program is designed for repair technicians with at least three years of experience and interested in becoming ATP certified as well as those looking for that little extra edge to achieve exam success. Our enlightening agenda covers essential areas including assistive technology devices and much more. It is led by Cindi Petito, industry recognized expert instructor and certified ATP. Discussions include real world assistive technology scenarios and case studies; all designed to give participants the resources to prepare for the RESNA ATP certification exam.
Okay, so you ask; where to next and how do I get on the attendee list?
Next stop, to the great state of Ohio!
We will be in Columbus September 9-11, followed by stops in Charlotte, NC, from October 7-9, and finishing our four-city tour in Salt Lake City from November 4-6 (ATP Academy not available in Salt Lake City)..
