The three things that should be known about these plans include:

  1. What they’re promising Medicare beneficiaries
  2. MA plans are not providing the same services or timely and accurate reimbursement as Medicare, which is one reason MA plans are able to tout lower premiums
  3. Beneficiaries aren’t necessarily locked into them
