manual wheelchair repairU.S. Rehab is excited to host Tech Training in Philadelphia July 26-27, 2022, and Birmingham, AL September 13-14, 2022. VGM or U.S. Rehab members can register now online.

Tech Training is two days of in-person education and hands-on experience with manual and power wheelchair repair. Technical trainers from MK Battery, Motion Concepts, Permobil, Permobil Manual Wheelchairs (TiLite), Sunrise Medical, FIOS DME Repair Training, and Avid Rehab will present product specifics and work through basic repair strategies, troubleshooting, and programming.

Each Tech Training session has the option of the basic or an advanced track, accommodating for the tech’s experience level. The basic track is best suited for techs with less than two years of experience. The advanced track is best suited for techs with three or more years of experience and also prospective ATPs.

“Tech Training has been a staple education program for well over a decade,” said Greg Packer, president of U.S. Rehab. “We know that when techs are properly trained, our members save time and money and also serve their patients better. A trained tech is able to troubleshoot an equipment repair more accurately, resulting in fewer trips in the field, which saves your company operational expenses, allows techs to get more done, and results in higher patient satisfaction.”

If you or someone on your team is planning to attend the Philadelphia training, make sure to register before July 8th! For more information or to register for the Philadelphia or Birmingham Tech Training, visit the U.S. Rehab website.
