Before being elected to Congress, Miller-Meeks was a nurse, an ophthalmologist, and Iowa’s public health director. Now, she is focused on healthcare at the federal level.

The Army veteran describes herself as conservative, though some of her policy stances could be described as leaning to the moderate side. Miller-Meeks often emphasizes how policies affect the actual delivery of healthcare services. She says that heavy-handed government management can hurt doctor-patient relationships and limit patients’ options.

A special thanks goes out to the great folks at Genesis Home Medical equipment for opening their doors and educating her on the issues within the HME industry.
