H.R. 2005 Gains Another Key Supporter

The DMEPOS Relief Act of 2025 (H.R. 2005) received another supporter this week, with Representative Dan Meuser (R-PA) joining as a co-sponsor. This highlights support for the bill, which aims to implement crucial adjustments to Medicare payment rates for durable medical equipment (DME) in non-competitive bidding areas.

Current supporters of the bill include:

  • Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA)
  • Rep. Paul Tonko (D-NY)
  • Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-IA)
  • Rep. Jimmy Panetta (D-CA)
  • Rep. Dan Meuser (R-PA)

Representative Meuser has consistently championed the DME industry, advocating for fair reimbursement rates and ensuring patients have access to essential medical equipment. His endorsement further strengthens the bill's momentum in Congress.

H.R. 2005 addresses the challenges faced by DME providers and beneficiaries, stemming from flawed competitive bidding processes and reimbursement cuts. The bill proposes a blended payment rate to alleviate financial strain on providers while ensuring patients can access affordable, high-quality medical equipment.

Stay tuned for updates as we monitor the progress of H.R. 2005 and its impact on the DME community. In the meantime, take action today by reaching out to your member of Congress to support H.R. 2005. Use this Action Center to send a direct message to your legislator's office.
