Celebrating Another DME Champion of Change: Thom Harvill of Above and Beyond Medical

Published in Government Relations on March 11, 2026

We’re proud to once again recognize a true Champion of Change in the DME industry: Thom Harvill of Above and Beyond Medical in Tennessee.

Thom has dedicated many years to the DME community—consistently showing up, speaking out, and pushing the industry forward. He’s the kind of advocate who never stops asking, “Who else can I reach out to about this?”

That simple but powerful question has opened doors, strengthened relationships, and elevated the voice of DME suppliers across Tennessee and throughout the country.

Thom Harvill

Ike Isaacson, SVP of VGM Government Relations, commented on Thom:

“Whether he’s walking the halls of the Tennessee State Capitol to address critical issues like MCO challenges, or meeting with federal legislators in Washington, D.C., Thom is always willing, always prepared, and always passionate. His advocacy is backed by years of experience, deep industry knowledge, and a commitment to doing what’s right for providers and patients alike. Thom has built excellent relationships from the statehouse to D.C., and those who work with him know they can always count on his responsiveness, reliability, and drive.”

Beth Bowen, Executive Director of ACMESA, said this about Thom:

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Thom for over 10 years, and it’s hard to find a stronger advocate for the DME industry and the patients we serve. Thom has consistently been a champion for providers and patient access, bringing dedication, persistence, and a strong work ethic to every effort. Through his service on the boards of ATHOMES and now ACMESA, he has played an important role in strengthening the association and growing membership so our collective voice can advocate more effectively. Thom genuinely cares for his colleagues, leads by example, always focused on the bigger mission of advancing our industry and protecting the patients who depend on it.”

Thank you, Thom, for continuing to go above and beyond and setting a great example of a DME advocate. Our industry is stronger because of leaders like you.

Congratulations on being a Champion of Change!
